PRENATAL MASSAGE

Also called Pregnancy Massage and is becoming increasingly popular with expectant mothers. It focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. Massage during pregnancy helps reduce stress, decrease swelling, relieve aches and pains, and reduce anxiety and depression. Experiencing Prenatal Massage can improve labor outcome and newborn health.

SWEDISH MASSAGE THERAPY

The most common type of massage in the U.S. and also known as a Swedish massage or simply massage therapy. The primary goal of the Swedish massage is to relax the entire body and mind. Massaging the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart helps to increase the level of oxygen in the blood, decrease muscle toxins, improve circulation and flexibility while easing away tension.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

Ideal for anyone who suffers from chronic pain or limited mobility due to athletic training, repetitive movement or overuse. This type of massage focuses on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendon, and fascia (connective tissue surrounding muscles, bones, and joints). Involves slower strokes or friction methods across the grain of the muscle to achieve desired results.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

This technique involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to decrease pain, restore motion, improve blood flow, strengthen the immune system, reduce muscle soreness, and improve nerve function.

CUPPING THERAPY

Is a technique using suction cups of varying sizes. They are attached to the body and the suction draws blood to the surface of the skin. Hence, the bruise-like marks. The treatment is said to improve blood circulation, thereby speeding up healing, reducing pain, easing muscle soreness and release and drain excess fluids and toxins.
